Real, on this machine: VAD, endpointing, barge-in, local Whisper STT, the LLM (Ollama), and TTS (Qwen3-TTS 0.6B / 1.7B under MLX). One live call uses the Mini; a second concurrent call keeps the same cloned voice via DashScope Qwen3-TTS (cloud overflow).
Web Speech is an opt-in fallback and uploads audio to Google — leave STT on “local Whisper” for anything that is not your own voice.

Use headphones — on speakers the mic hears the TTS and self-interrupts.

Caller ID: type the number you want to test as. Same number on a later call is how find/modify/cancel connect to the booking. Web with no number uses +499000000001 so the app does not treat you as withheld.

Real PSTN: set a tenant’s voiceProvider to local. Twilio streams to wss://api.clever-table.com/voice-lab/media. Do not flip the LIVE Chez Emil number until a test DID has booked a table on this stack.

No sound on iPhone? The physical silent switch mutes speechSynthesis entirely. Flip the ringer on, turn volume up, then press Test voice before starting a call.
